Connections A and B refer to the connection methods to be used on either end of the taper. Doby frames or slip joints are standard connections for duct assembly. Sheet metal flanges are not a general connection method but can be useful when connecting to walls or ventilation equipment.

Although selectable on all sizes - and possibly necessary on your particular installation - we do not recommend slip joints for general duct assembly on ducts over 400mm in any one dimension.
